Jennie Lee is a multi award-winning author of three books, including the prestigious Nautilus Book Award for her most recent SPARK CHANGE: 108 Provocative Questions for Spiritual Evolution. A recognized expert in the fields of yoga therapy and spiritual living, her other books are TRUE YOGA: Practicing with the Yoga Sutras for Happiness & Spiritual Fulfillment; and BREATHING LOVE: Meditation in Action. Jennie is a certified yoga therapist, spiritual coach, and creativity coach, who has counseled individuals seeking soulful self-expression and wellbeing for the past 25 years. Additionally, Jennie is the Founder and Director of the Essere Writer & Artist Residency in Italy. When she is not writing or coaching, you will find her practicing her Italian or surfing with her husband near their home in Hawai’i.

Jennie Lee is a multi-award-winning author, teacher and speaker specializing in yoga therapy, meditation and creative self-expression. For over 26 years, she has bridged the universal ideals and practices of Eastern philosophy with the needs and challenges of modern Western living. Her most recent book, Spark Change: 108 Provocative Questions for Spiritual Evolution is a Nautilus Book Award winner. In it, Jennie takes readers on a deep dive into the practice of introspection as a tool for personal growth and the discovery of purposeful self-expression. Her book TRUE YOGA: Practicing with the Yoga Sutras for Happiness and Spiritual Fulfillment offers practitioners tangible strategies to apply yogic science to daily life. It is used in Yoga Teacher Training programs worldwide. And her book, Breathing Love: Meditation in Action delivers a powerful message about loving as an essential and universal spiritual practice.
Known for living what she teaches, Lee’s counsel is based on studies in Body-Centered Psychotherapy, Spiritual Psychology, Yoga Philosophy and Kriya Yoga Meditation. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists as well as a Certified Process Therapist. A recognized expert on yoga and spiritual living, Lee’s writing has been featured in numerous magazines and online sites, and she has been a contributor to several other books on Yoga Therapy. With over 60, 000 teaching and counseling hours under her belt, and 26 years of personal practice of these teachings, she is a testament to the fact that it is possible to get through difficult times and emerge in joy and ever expanding creativity.
The diversity of people who have entrusted Lee with their personal growth speaks to her ability to effectively touch a wide range of individuals. From celebrities to CEOs, military officers to housewives, all have experienced positive change through working with her. In addition to individual coaching, Lee has worked with professional groups, yoga teacher trainings, schools and nonprofits organizations internationally.
Having explored numerous forms of creative self-expression, including running 17 international retreats with uniquely themed curriculum, Jennie is now dedicated to uplifting the creative process for other writers and artists through her newly founded Essere Writer & Artist Residency in Tuscany, Italy. This bi-annual program hosts 20+ creatives for a 2-week immersion in artistic pursuits and brings together the best of Jennie’s work in personal wellness and spiritual evolution.
